Kitsap teams perform well at track and field meet

The Kingston Buccaneers, Bremerton Knights, and North Kitsap Vikings all competed in a track and field meet at Kingston High School May 1, with athletes from all teams performing well in various events.

Results:

– Bremerton Knight Isaiah Cadengo placed first in the boys 200 meters (22.66) and 400 meters (48.67).

– North Kitsap Viking Calina Morgan placed first in the girls 100 meters (12.62). Vikings Julie Castillejo (13.41) and Bella Johnston (13.45) placed second and third, respectively.

– Kingston Buccaneer Emma Grice finished a full 10 seconds before the next athlete in the girls 1600 meters, finishing with a time of 5:48.28

– Kingston freshman Coen Van Vliet took first place in the boys 3200 meters, finishing with a time of 10:10.46, a full 30 seconds before the next athlete.

– The NK relay team of Treylin Bell, Lathan Becoats, Solomon Furne, and Cohen Meis finished first in the boys 4×100 relay, finishing a second and a half above the second-place time at 43.24.

– Bremerton Knight Mathew Arceo earned a personal record in boys shot put (12lb), placing first in the event with a score of 41’ 6.5”.

– NK Viking James Rebman placed first in boys javelin with a throw of 147’10”, 21 feet longer than the second-place athlete.

– The North Kitsap team of Johnston, Savannah Becoats, Brook Sloman, and Morgan finished first in the girls 4×100 relay with a time of 51.54, earning a PR in the process.

– Bremerton Knight Rylee Wheaton placed first in girls shot put (4kg) event with a score of 39’8.5”.

– NK Viking Phoebe Aala placed first in girls discus (1kg) with a score of 102’4”.
