The 2014 varsity team at a glance

How the team fared in 2013: The Bucs once again secured a berth into the 2A State Championship after defeating Franklin Pierce 7-0 in the District playoffs. They were eliminated in the first round of the State Championships.

What to look for in 2014: The Bucs will try to be more balanced in terms of running and passing. The team wants to utilize the field more. There are quite a few new faces on the team.

Starting quarterback: Jack Colletto, a sophomore, will lead the team on the field. Colletto started on JV in 2013. He’s played football for a good portion of his life. He has good vision and field sense.

Base offense: multiple sets, power I

Base defense: 3-4

Top returners: Andrew Monlux 6-4, 220, OL; Garrett Rouser 6-0, 190, RB; Matt Shaw 6-2, 220, TE; Josh Iles 6-0, 180, WR; Ryan Fick 5-8, 175, K

Varsity coaches: Todd Harder, head coach, offensive coordinator; Jeff Rouser, defensive coordinator.
