BAINBRIDGE ISLAND — One lane of NE Koura Road will be closed and a detour will be in place on Dec. 12, as state Department of Transportation maintenance crews repair a section of guardrail on southbound State Route 305.

According to the state Department of Transportation, drivers traveling on SR 305 will be unable to turn onto westbound NE Koura Road and will instead be detoured to Day Road between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Traffic on NE Koura Road will be allowed to turn onto SR 305. Variable message signs containing detour information will direct motorists around the closure.
