Earlier this year, Tumbledown — MxPx frontman Mike Herrera’s pop-punk-abilly side project — traveled down to Austin, Texas, for South by Southwest. And they came back with a record deal.
The self-titled debut full-length, with wicked cover art from the famed tattoo artist Oliver Peck, is due out on the Austin-based label End Sounds in stores and online May 19. To celebrate Tumbledown, featuring Herrera and former Rocky Point All Stars Jack Parker (lead guitar), Marshall and Harley Trotland (bass and drums) will be throwing a CD release party tonight at Winterland with Nicole Deville and her Manhands and The New Old Stock opening.
It all kicks off at 9:30 p.m., May 15 at Winterland, 1220 Sylvan Way in Bremerton. 21+, $5 cover. Plus catch them the next afternoon, May 16, at Kitasp’s first-ever pinup and rockabilly fest at the Silverdale Beach Hotel.
