A celebration of life service for Lorraine May, former Independent associate publisher, is set from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Port Orchard’s Lighthouse, 429 Bay St., Port Orchard.

She died Aug. 31, at her Bremerton home.

May, 61, had been battling lung cancer and retired as associate publisher in June.
