According to the most recent statistics posted by the Kitsap County Auditor’s office, 46,665 ballots have been received thus far in Tuesday’s mail-in ballot election. That’s a 30.12 percent return.
In all there are 154,462 eligible registers voters in Kitsap County for Tuesday’s election.
For those who still have their ballots in hand, there are seven 24-hour ballot drops available throughout the county. They are available until 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Ballot drops provide a safe secure way for voters to deposit their ballots postage free. Ballot drop boxes also meet accessibility requirements for voters with disabilities.
In the Bremerton/Silverdale area ballot drop boxes are located at the Kitsap Regional Library, 1301 Sylvan Way, East Bremerton; the Norm Dicks Government Center, 345 Sixth St., downtown Bremerton; and the Central Kitsap School District Administration Building, 9210 Silverdale Way N.W. in Silverdale.
For those who have dropped off their ballot or who have mailed in their ballot, go to the auditor’s website at www.kitsapgov.com/aud/elections.htm and use Ballot Tracker to make sure it has been received.
