Two SK grads receive Maynard Lundberg scholarships

PORT ORCHARD — South Kitsap High School seniors Megan Miller and Cole Darcey were awarded $4,000 scholarships by the Maynard Lundberg Education Foundation.

The seniors were awarded the scholarships established by the Port Orchard Rotary Club to honor Maynard Lundberg, a prominent South Kitsap High graduate and member of the South Kitsap community.

Miller and Darcey were active in their respective sports of fastpitch girls softball and basketball, baseball and golf, in addition to being high academic achievers. Darcey’s GPA was 3.96. Miller’s GPA was 3.92.
