Summer school for grades 7-8 is designed strictly for remedial work or skills mastery and students must have taken the class prior to summer school to enroll.

Summer school for grades 9-12 is designed for credit retrieval, new credit or skills mastery. To enroll in credit retrieval courses, students must have taken the class prior to summer school. New credit options are available only through school counselor approval.

Summer school class offerings can be found at the NKSD Web site, www.nksd.wednet.edu, under the summer school section.

In addition to the class roster this year, the class of 2008 will be offered WASL help classes in reading, writing and math at no cost.

The WASL math course is deviant to the rest of the secondary schedule and will begin June 28 and run Monday through Friday for 20 days.

Elementary summer school days will be Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Students will rotate half way through the day between math/science and reading/writing sessions.
