North Kitsap and Kingston high schools will have their graduation ceremonies this weekend as the class of 2023 sets foot toward its individual life journeys.
NK will have its graduation at 7 p.m. June 9 at the NKSD stadium in Poulsbo, while Kingston will hold its commencement at 1 p.m. June 10 at the same location. There is no ticketing for either event.
246 seniors will be graduating from NK. Valedictorians are Julia Beatty, Emalee Burgh, Madison Carmichael, Stephen Gagnon, Eliana Ginn, Riley Gustas, Benen Lawler, Aidan Rodriguez and Rylee Turner. Salutatorians are John Webb and Kadie Staley.
The schedule of events for the NK graduation ceremony is: Honor song; processional; national anthem; principal’s welcome; choir sings; valedictorian and salutatorian address; band plays; presentation of graduates; acceptance of class; presentation of the diplomas; reading of the class roll; tassel crossover; and recessional.
Kingston will have 119 graduates. Valedictorians are McLean Bowers, Cori Everhart, Isabella Kim, Morgan Steele and Victor Taylor. Salutatorians are Mimi Hays and Megan Roth.
