KINGSTON — County Commissioner Rob Gelder and Sheriff Gary Simpson will join the Kingston Citizens Advisory Council in a public Town Hall meeting at 7 p.m. Sept. 6 in the Village Green Community Center, 26159 Dulay Road, Kingston.
Residents will hear about ongoing planning and services in the greater Kingston area and will Have an opportunity to ask questions.
In addition, the Kingston Community Open House is scheduled for 4-7 p.m. Sept. 21 in the Village Green Community Center. More than 50 county departments, local agencies and nonprofit organizations will be on hand with information on their programs, initiatives and planning efforts. Applications are now open to those who would like to reserve a table for the open house. Space is limited; register as soon as possible. For-profit businesses are not eligible. The Kingston Community Open House provides residents, developers, businesses and others the opportunity to learn about community events, activities, projects and planning, volunteer opportunities, and other initiatives — all in one evening. County departments anticipated to participate include Parks, Public Works, Community Development, and Emergency Management, alongside dozens of non-profit and community groups.
The mission of KCAC is to develop and promote a sense of community vision and pride, and to facilitate communication between the citizens of Kingston and county government, and within the community. The Kingston Community Open House provides a venue to do that with many Kingston organizations and their neighbors all in one place.
