A look at Pine Cone Gifts & Lucky Star Consignment Clothing

Pine Cone Gifts and Lucky Star Consignment Clothing have one thing in common: they are both owned and personally operated by Stacy and Jason Patrick. Both shops are located in the Kingston Crossing Shopping Center next to Albertsons and just two doors away from each other.

Pine Cone Gifts features over 200 local artisans and crafters offering a wide variety of gifts from delightfully whimsical to practical or delicious.

“We are Kingston’s one stop shop for home decor, gifts, personal care, jewelry, seasonal and specialty food items,” Stacy said. They have over 16 local artists making unique greeting cards for every occasion and there is a lot of pottery to choose from including delightful, hand-built treasures. Local crafters offer a variety of handmade soaps, bath products and candles.

Pine Cone Gifts also creates custom gift baskets for businesses or personal use. Jason had one piece of advice while shopping at Pine Cone Gifts, “Don’t forget to look up” he said. Indeed, there are almost as many unique items displayed above eye level as there are below.

Have you ever looked in your clothes closet and noticed a suit or dress you haven’t worn in a long time and probably never will again? Then it’s time to visit Lucky Star Consignment Clothing.

Here’s how it works: bring your new or lightly-used brand-named clothing and accessories for men, women and children and place them on consignment. Stacy will price them and pay you 40 percent of the tag price for items that sell. Checks are available monthly or can be set up as credit to use at either store.

Stacy will help you modernize your wardrobe with pieces from the store and new fashion forward accessories. Drop-off alterations are also available.

Stacy and Jason moved from Seattle to Kingston in 2000 and opened Pine Cone Gifts in 2003. Lucky Star was added in 2004. Stacy is proud her customers say “we have big-city style with small town customer service and prices.”

You can reach Stacy and Jason Patrick at (360) 297-6721 or drop in to see them 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon-5 p.m. Sundays. Their Web site features most of their gift shop inventory online: www.pineconegifts.com.
