Hangar construction at Bremerton airport to begin this year

New hangar construction will begin this year at Bremerton National Airport, said Port of Bremerton officials in a Monday press release.

Construction will happen in two phases — In the first phase, a pad-ready space for three corporate hangars are scheduled to be built, at which point the entities leasing the corporate hangar space will build their own hangars. Phase 2 will have between 27 and 35 box and t-hangars of varying sizes for general aviation aircraft.

The new additions to the airport will help ease some of the demand for hangar space in the Puget Sound region.

“We’re excited to be able to expand the airport hangar space and continue to serve the Puget Sound pilots to the best of our abilities.” Airport Manager Warren Hendrickson said. “There’s a huge shortage of hangars in the area and we’re glad to help be part of the solution.”

No construction start date has been released, but once it begins, the first phase will be completed in 90 days.
