Kingston will get decked out for the holidays this month. Volunteers are needed Saturday, Nov. 25 to help create swags and attach them to lamposts in town. The more the merrier (and the job gets done quicker!).
Meet at 9:30 a.m. in the basement of the Kingston Community Center on Highway 104. Volunteers may bring gardening gloves, clippers and wire cutters if available. Tall step ladders are also needed, and cedar boughs, holly and other greens.
Treats will be served while making the evergreen decorations then the crew will head out to hang the swags on lamp posts and wrap them in red ribbon.
The project should be complete before noon. Community groups are encouraged to particpate. Holiday decorating is sponsored the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce. For more information, contact Sally Christy at (360) 297-3813 or (360) 297-6725.
