On Thursday, the Cavs traveled to Central Kitsap — a building where Coach Chisholm has never won a game in 12 years. The team beat the Cougar Cubs 39-33.

“It was a classic,” Chisholm said. “It was the biggest win for Kingston basketball that I’ve had since I’ve been coaching here.”

Riley Watts led the Cavs in scoring, with 15 points and Nicol added 10. Jade Niemeyer also scored 5 points and took down 12 rebounds. Brenna Lander also made eight steals in the game.

“Lander played the game of her life,” Chisholm said. “Her intensity and energy was overwhelming. We wouldn’t have won this game without her.”

The Cavs have three games remaining, all at home: March 22 versus Poulsbo; March 25 versus Bremerton; and March 29 against Ridgetop. All games are at 3 p.m.
