Buccaneer graduates ready to set sail through adult waters

On June 14, friends and family gathered at North Kitsap Stadium for Kingston High School’s graduation ceremony to celebrate the class of 2025.

The commencement ceremony included an honor song performed by the Suquamish and S’Kallam Tribes, an address by outgoing principal Miranda Smallwood, speeches by the valedictorians and salutatorians, a final performance by the KHS concert band’s graduating seniors, and the presentation of the diplomas.

Valedictorians included Sophia Brown, Olive Leiss, and Addison Wooster, and salutatorians included Shelby Chandler and Nya Hayes. They each shared speeches that included poems and expressions of gratitude toward their time at KHS, wishing their class luck for the adventures that come next.
