Update: Bainbridge, Bremerton, Central Kitsap, South Kitsap schools closed; North Kitsap schools on regular schedule

POULSBO – Schools in much of the county remain closed Feb. 7 because of snow and poor road conditions.

Weekend snowfall dropped 3-6 inches of snow in Kitsap, causing local outages and, in some places, hazardous road conditions.

North Kitsap School District schools are operating on regular schedule.

Bainbridge Island School District schools are closed, and there is no out-of-district transportation.

Bremerton School District schools are closed.

Central Kitsap School District schools are closed. All before-school activities are canceled. For information on after-school activities, go to CKSchools.org.

South Kitsap School District schools are closed and there is no out-of-district transportation. After-school activities will be determined by 11 a.m.

Olympic College will open three hours late. All campuses will open at 11 a.m.

The Kitsap County Courthouse and all county offices are operating on a two-hour delay today because of the weather. Normal operations will resume at 10 a.m.

Because of expected freezing weather conditions later today, the Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management is activating the Severe Weather Shelter Program. Click here for information about shelters in Kingston, Silverdale and Port Orchard.
