SK boys basketball to play Auburn Riverside Feb. 7

The Wolves face Auburn Riverside in first round of playoffs for seed into West Central Districts

Over the weekend, several South Kitsap sport teams competed in playoffs.

Senior Sarah Stolle competed in the 4A state bowling tournament Feb. 3 in University Place. After finishing 12th and ninth respectively the last two years, she took the state title by two pins.

“I’m excited for my final state appearance,” she said. “I’ve gone every year but never placed.”

I’m looking forward to trying my best and placing. I think it would be a nice finish.”

And a nice finish it was. She bowled a 211 in her final game, bowling five strikes.

Jason Gleason swept the competition at the West Central District 3 championships Sept. 2. He earned first place with a final score of 422.35 (63 points ahead of the competition). With this fourth-consecutive district title, Gleason will advance to the state tournament on Feb 17-18 at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
