39th Manchester Summer Festival Aug. 2

The annual Manchester Summer Festival will take place Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Qaqad Stormwater Park.

Now in its 39th year, the summer tradition, hosted by the Manchester Community Association, is a celebration of all things local. Since its beginnings — before farmer’s markets and neighborhood fairs were common — the festival has brought neighbors and friends together to enjoy the talents and creativity of the Kitsap area’s artisans, musicians, and makers, per a news release.

Every hour, a new individual or group will take the stage to share their unique brand of music. Seating will be available, so folks can relax and enjoy the performances for an extended period of time. Grilled hot dogs will be served with chips and a beverage. There will also be a range of activities for kids.

Off-site parking is available at the Manchester Community Church on Chester Road, with a free shuttle running all day to and from the festival site.
