Three stories about ‘extraordinary care’

Your July 21 edition of the North Kitsap Herald hit a “sweet spot” in the spirit of life.

To pick three stories of many:

  • The lead article on our new school district superintendent, Dr. Laurynn Evans, reported her pet phrase: “extraordinary care.”
  • It also referenced the district is “recruiting a new principal for Wolfle Elementary School,” which we who have volunteered at Wolfle know refers to the retirement of long-time Principal Ben Degnan, an exemplar of “extraordinary care.”
  • From there, a segue to the Suquamish Tribe’s recent gift to the Maritime Museum … the Tribe, under Chairman Leonard Forsman’s leadership, has transformed all aspects of Tribal life by “extraordinary care.”

We citizens of Kitsap County enjoy many blessings; these three leaders are among the greatest.
