As a group of cancer survivors and community members, we applaud the opening of Peninsula Cancer Center in Poulsbo. We are former patients of the co-founders, Drs. Berit Madsen and R. Alex Hsi, and know firsthand that they are bringing top-notch radiation oncology care, previously only available in Seattle, to this side of Puget Sound.

When we were receiving radiation treatment, we commuted to Seattle daily for weeks. Needless to say, this was physically and emotionally draining. However, the commute was well worth the quality care and compassionate service we received from Drs. Madsen and Hsi.

With the opening of Peninsula Cancer Center, Drs. Madsen and Hsi are bringing a first-rate team of physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, nurses and front-office staff to ensure the best care close to home. Additionally, they have invested in leading-edge equipment and the most recent radiation techniques to achieve the best possible outcomes.

On behalf of your former patients, we would like to say thank you for bringing your skills to the Kitsap Peninsula. This is an important new resource that we can recommend to friends and family with confidence.
