Be responsible: Keep your cats inside

If you want a cat, keep them inside. We don’t live in the country where land owners need cats to keep rodents away. If my dog roamed the streets and pooped in neighbors’ yards and howled all night, he would eventually be picked up by the Humane Society.

To all outside-cat owners on 9th Avenue:

Recently, we have seen an increase in outside cats in our neighborhood. I don’t understand why your cats roam freely outside in everyone else’s yards. They poop in other people’s gardens, catch the birds from people’s feeders, and are a huge nuisance howling at night.

If you want a cat, keep them inside. We don’t live in the country where land owners need cats to keep rodents away. If my dog roamed the streets and pooped in neighbors’ yards and howled all night, he would eventually be picked up by the Humane Society. But as a responsible pet owner, I wouldn’t let him roam free.

Maybe your cats should be picked up by the Humane Society!
