American Legion sponsoring marksmanship Club

American Legion Post 30 is sponsoring a Youth Marksmanship Club for seventh and eighth grade students in the South Kitsap School District.

The club will compete in three-position air rifle competitions under the instruction of South Kitsap rifle team coach, Master Gunnery Sgt. Mark Brosnan.

The team will meet and practice once per week and all equipment will be provided. All shooters will receive safety instruction as well as basic and advanced marksmanship instruction.

Membership on the team is an important step toward earning a spot on the South Kitsap High School’s precision air rifle team. Interested students should fill out an application and return it by May 1.
