PORT ORCHARD — The Port Orchard community will celebrate the South Kitsap wrestling team’s state championship at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23.

The celebration will take place at the Port Orchard Market, 715 Bay St.

Community members will line the sidewalk on each side of Bay Street and the wrestling team will make its way up and down each side. Afterwards, everyone will make their way inside the market to continue the celebration.

“We courage people to bring signs to wave and hope motorists driving by will honk their approval,” said Coreen Haydock, co-owner of The Dock Bar & Eatery, located inside the market.
