North Kitsap finishes seventh in state volleyball tournament

LACEY – North Kitsap defeated Fife 3-0 Nov. 12 to finish seventh in the 2016 2A Volleyball State Championships at Saint Martin’s University.

North Kitsap opened the tournament with a 3-2 loss to ultimate second-place tournament finisher Woodland (15-25, 25-21, 18-25, 25-19, 15-11) on Nov. 11, then defeated Steilacoom 3-2 (22-15, 25-17, 18-25, 25-14, 16-14) later in the day.

North Kitsap easily handled Fife the next day, sweeping the match 25-23, 25-22, and 25-17.
