The Central Kitsap Reporter is taking nominations for the 2008-09 Student-Athlete of the Year.

Candidates should not only be strong on the field, but in the classroom and around the community as well.

The Central Kitsap Reporter’s 2007-08 Female Student-Athlete of the Year, Carolyn Cross, maintained a 4.0 GPA while carrying the Central Kitsap fastpitch team to the state tournament with a 0.74 ERA.

Klahowya’s Jordan Green and Central Kitsap’s Caleb Brown shared last year’s Male Student-Athlete of the Year honor, with each maintaining GPAs above 3.0 while leading their respective baseball teams to postseason success.
