June Faire brings pageantry and celebration

On June 6 and 7, the township of Port Gamble will be transformed from its everyday existence as a small mill town to a colorful Middle Ages encampment for the pageantry and celebration of the Barony of Dragon’s Laire.

On June 6 and 7, the township of Port Gamble will be transformed from its everyday existence as a small mill town to a colorful Middle Ages encampment for the pageantry and celebration of the Barony of Dragon’s Laire.

June Faire features historic arts and crafts, craft demonstrations and classes, demonstrations of armored tournament combat, archery and mock battles.

Their Excellencies of Dragon’s Laire, Conchobar MacEoin and Eilidh Keldeleth, invite one and all to join them for a weekend of fun at June Faire XXXIII. Dragon’s Laire is filled with anticipation and excitement as we look forward to celebrating our 20th anniversary as the Barony of Dragon’s Laire in 2015. Come out and be a part of the festivities. Cruise Port Gamble is off to a great start.

Every Thursday from May through September, car buffs bring out their classic, new or unique cars to show off on the lawns beside Mike’s Four Star BBQ and Gamble Bay Coffee. The weekly Cruise-In is free and open to everyone.

Stay Up To Date with the Trail Closures. Pope Resources will be conducting timber harvest to thin portions of our property south of Port Gamble beginning in March and ending in November.  Please remember that there is no hunting.

For the safety of our visitors and for our contractors, some roads and trails will be temporarily closed during the thinning operations. All trails and roads that are temporarily closed will be maintained and re-opened after the harvests are complete. For trail updates, visit www.portgamble.com.
