Photographer Genna Martin of the Daily Herald in Everett joined the crew of the John C. Stennis as the ship traveled north from Naval Base Kitsap in Bremerton to Naval Magazine Indian Island to pick up munitions before heading to San Diego for training, Jan. 12.
