KINGSTON — Joshua Baker of Kingston, a Navy petty officer first class stationed at Naval Base Kitsap, was one of four people nationwide to win a $500 lawn makeover from Grass Seed USA, a coalition of American grass seed farmers.
The promotion was part of the coalition’s Operation Home Turf veterans appreciation program.
King and the other winners were randomly selected from the nominations received on Grass Seed USA’s Facebook page. Grass Seed USA will hire a local contractor in the spring to evaluate each winner’s lawn and implement the lawn care.
