Four injured in three-car collision on 307 at Minder Road

POULSBO – Four people were injured in a three-car collision on Highway 307 at Minder Road, 4.5 miles north of Poulsbo, April 26.
Washington State Patrol reported that the following persons were taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton for treatment of injuries: Diane K. Giffey, 47, of Poulsbo; Merle F. Yonker, 45, of Everett; Ronnie A. Yonker, 50, of Everett; and Jared W. Yonker, 14, of Everett.
The collision occurred at about 3:49 p.m.
According to state patrol: A 2010 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Randy L. Summers, 58, of Bonney Lake was in the northbound lane of 307 at Minder Road, stopped and waiting for traffic to clear in order to make a left turn. Behind Summers’ vehicle was a 2006 Chevrolet HHR driven by Merle Yonker.
Giffey’s 1998 Toyota 4-Runner, also headed northbound, collided with the back of Yonker’s vehicle, pushing it into Summer’s vehicle.
Investigators determined Giffey was driving too fast, and she was cited.
A passenger of Summers’ was not injured.
Giffey and Yonker’s vehicles were towed from the scene.
