Jan and Jerry Deardorff celebrate their 50th

Jerry and Jan Deardorff of Poulsbo celebrated their 50th anniversary at the Edgewater Inn in Seattle, where they spent their wedding night on April 12, 1963.

Their children Molly (boyfriend John Stejar), and Chris (wife Julie) joined them for a champagne celebration and dinner at the Six Seven Restaurant at the Edgewater.T

he Deardorffs retired after 25 years with the North Kitsap School District — he was a teacher, she worked in the district administrative office.

The Deardorffs have one grandchild and two stepgrandchildren — all 16-year-old girls.
