Two people were found dead in a home in unincorporated Poulsbo the morning of Oct. 7.

Two residents who were found dead in their home near Poulsbo Oct. 7 have been ruled a murder-suicide by the Kitsap County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Autopsies revealed that 55-year-old Richard Gaines and 53-year-old Marjorie Gaines were both found dead from gunshot wounds to the head. Marjorie’s manner of death was ruled a homicide, whereas Richard’s was ruled a suicide, per the medical examiner.
