USS Nimitz to conduct active shooter training April 23

Naval Security Forces on the USS Nimitz, a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier, will conduct an active shooter drill aboard the ship April 23, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton.

NSF personnel will use blank ammunition to simulate live fire, according to a press release. Local residents and base personnel working on NBK-Bremerton should expect loud noises and increased activity aboard the ship and in the immediate area.
