PORT ORCHARD — Tracy Patterson, South Kitsap School District’s assistant superintendent since 2014, is departing to join Northshore School District in Bothell as its chief financial officer.

Patterson will join Dr. Michelle Reid, the former South Kitsap superintendent and current head of the Northshore district, on her leadership team there. Patterson submitted her letter of resignation to South Kitsap School District Superintendent Karst Brandsma, who announced his acceptance of her departure June 18.

“Tracy’s solid leadership of the Business Services Department has improved our financial transparency,” Brandsma said in a news release.

“She has implemented systems for reporting and accountability, including monthly enrollment and fund balance reports at our school board meetings. We are sorry to see Tracy leave South Kitsap and wish her all the best in the future.”

The process for filling the now-vacant position is being finalized, the school district said.
