Free lunches for South Kitsap kids this summer

PORT ORCHARD — The South Kitsap School District’s free summer lunch program will continue serving area children 18 years old and younger this summer.
Free lunch will be served at East Port Orchard Elementary, 1964 Hoover Ave. SE, from June 25-Aug. 17 — Monday through Friday, excluding July 4. Lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Each Wednesday, a sack lunch also will be provided to children at the downtown Port Orchard waterfront gazebo, adjacent to the Port Orchard Library. The lunches will be handed out from noon to 12:15 p.m. on July 11-Aug. 15.
