BREMERTON — Crowds of people spanned the Manette Bridge starting at 1 p.m. Feb. 25 for the Kitsap Builds Bridges, Not Walls vigil.

The vigil, organized by Brian Watson and Sally Jo Martine, was filled with people spreading a message of love, not hate, and inclusivity, not fear, and so many more.

As cars went by, a large majority honked in support, to the cheers and waves of the people standing in solidarity on the bridge.

To learn more about the vigil, read “Kitsap Builds Bridges, Not Walls: A vigil to show diversity support in our own community” and read the March 3 Central Kitsap Reporter for full coverage of the event.
