Kitsap County District Court report, Aug. 5, 2016, edition

The following cases have been filed in Kitsap County Superior Court:

— A 35-year-old Kitsap County man was arrested and charged with theft in the third degree for shoplifting from a JC Penney store.

— On July 29, a 33-year-old Kitsap woman was charged with fourth degree assault.

— On July 30, a 27-year-old suspect was accused of violating a non-contract order with his former partner. He was charged with violation of a court order, gross misdemeanor.

— A 46-year old Kitsap man was charged with third-degree driving while license revoked.

— A 20-year-old Kitsap resident was charged with making a false statement to a public servant in the third degree. The violation allegedly occurred on July 31.

— A 20-year-old Kitsap resident was charged with assault in the fourth degree in an offense that allegedly took place on July 31.

— On July 16, a 42-year-old suspect was charged with second-degree assault. As a repeat offender, in the event of a conviction, the mandatory penalty would be life imprisonment without possibility of parole.

— A 42-year-old man was charged with third-degree rape for having intercourse with a victim who explicitly did not consent to such intercourse.

— A 42-year-old Kitsap County man was charged with a criminal complaint for both attacking a former partner and destroying her property (malicious mischief/special allegation of domestic violence).

— A 51-year-old Kitsap man was charged with criminal trespass in the second degree for breaking into another man’s home with intent to commit burglary.

— An 87-year old Kitsap man was charged with fourth-degree assault for attacking his wife on August 1.

— A 42-year-old Kitsap woman was charged with a criminal complaint for attacking her domestic partner and violating a protection order.
