West Valley (Yakima) wins volleyball title

The West Valley (Yakima) volleyball team was the winner of the 2A State Volleyball Championships Nov. 10.

West Valley defeated Capital (25-18, 17-25, 25-13, 25-23), Burlington-Edison (25-19, 25-11, 25-21), Selah (25-22, 25-21, 26-28, 25-12), and Tumwater (23-25, 25-18, 22-25, 18-25).

The loss to West Valley put Tumwater in second.

Selah placed third, after a win over Colville in the consolation bracket.
