KINGSTON — The game against the Kingston High School Buccaneers boys basketball team was hard-fought.

The Sequim Wolves, coached by Greg Glasser, kept pace with the top team in the Olympic League for the first half. The Wolves fell behind one point in the first quarter and were only four points behind by halftime. But the Bucs were not ready to give up their undefeated League record.

The Bucs ended the game 53-45 as they continue to reign supreme. The Bucs hold a League record of 7-0 and are 9-2 overall; first in the Olympic League. The Wolves (5-2, 8-3) drop to third after the loss, behind Port Angeles (6-1, 9-1).

Kingston’s Richie Sander led the team in scoring with 15 points. Sequim’s Gabe Carter scored 16 in the night.

The Bucs go on to play second place Port Angeles Roughriders Friday at home. The game starts at 7 p.m.
