Sports update | Relay teams from North Kitsap, Kingston meet District times

NORTH KITSAP — In addition to Bethany Aban qualifying for State in two swims, relay teams and a few individual swimmers from both North Kitsap and Kingston high schools met District times during competitions this week.

In their meet against Olympic High School Tuesday, four individual Kingston girls achieved District times. Two relay teams also achieved District times.

Results: 200 Medley Relay — Miranda Hoffer, Nicole Avila, Alice Healy, Katherine Andersen 2:14.07 (District time and new school record)

400 Meter Free Relay — Kaylie Manix, Annika Barrett, Katherine Andersen, Miranda Hoffer 4:37.38 (District)

200 Meter Individual Medley — Katherine Andersen 2:37.65 (District time and new school record); Alice Healy 2:47.16 (District)

100 Meter Fly — Miranda Hoffer 1:13.87 (new school record)

500 Meter Freestyle — Katherine Andersen 6:28.62 (District)

100 Meter Backstroke — Miranda Hoffer 1:12.81 (District)

Final score: Port Townsend 107, North Kitsap 62

200 Meter Free Relay — Bethany Aban, Alessi Richardson,Carrie Snook,and Lizzie Donnelly 1:57.53 (District)

400 Meter Freestyle Relay — Lizzie Donnelly, Roxanne Bowers, Nerissa Lemon, Bethany Aban 4:06.45 (District)

50 Meter Freestyle — Brittany Yu 0:28.97 (District)
