Vikings crush Chimacum, Capital | Boys basketball

The North Kitsap Vikings improved to 2-1 with back-to-back wins over Chimacum and Capital.

POULSBO — The North Kitsap Vikings improved to 2-1 with back-to-back wins over Chimacum and Capital.

The Vikings defeated Chimacum 72-40 Dec. 3 in their second non-conference game of the season.

North Kitsap’s Calvin Dennis scored 23 points for the Vikings and had 10 rebounds. Cole Rabedeaux scored 12 for the Vikings.

The win followed a 77-58 loss against the Bainbridge Spartans Dec. 1.

The Vikings returned to the court Dec. 5 to beat Capital 80-64.

Though there were outscored in the first quarter, the Vikings scored more than 20 points in the following three.

North Kitsap’s Cole Rabedeaux scored 35 points, followed by Ethan Graebner’s 16.

Calvin Dennis had 13 rebounds, Brooks Ellingsen and Nate McCown each had eight.

The Vikings prepare for their third road game against Klahowya Dec. 9. Their first conference game of the season is at home Dec. 12 against Kingston.
