North Kitsap defeated Central Kitsap 5-2 Monday, wrapping up a March 24 non-league match that was cut short due to rain. In singles, Corine Wurden (CK) def McKenna Elves (NK) 6-0, 6-1. Kelsey Grunigen (NK) def Marina Miller (CK) 6-0, 6-1. Katja Christianson (NK) def Allie Birnbaum (CK) 6-0, 6-2 In doubles, Katie Jackson and Victoria Marshall (CK) won by forfeit. Rose Bissonnette and Meghan O’Hara (NK) def Iori Kimura and Lexi Dewar(CK) 6-2, 6-0. Megan Stickney and Kerri McGinty (NK) def Emily Owen and Kathy McCaughlin (CK) 6-2, 6-1. Sarah Farmer and Georgia Suter (NK) def Tammy Nguyen and Eden Murry (CK) 6-0, 6-3.

BASEBALL

Kingston put the hurt on North Mason Monday as the Bucs ran past the Bulldogs, 12-1. Curtis Wildung had four RBI and both Tyler Sullivan and Kyle Murray homered in the win. Tyler Sullivan was credited with the win.

FASTPITCH

Kingston’s bats were relatively quiet Monday, as Katie Lomas picked up her first loss of the season in a 9-1 defeat versus North Mason. The Buccaneer defense also recorded 10 errors in the loss.
