Kitsap Youth Lacrosse

The Kitsap Youth Lacrosse Association (KYLA) is accepting registrations for boys in grades five through eight for spring teams. There will be two teams, one for fifth- and sixth-graders and one for seventh- and eighth-graders. Third- and fourth-graders are welcome to “play up” up on the fifth- and sixth-grade team. The teams are open to all students in the Bremerton, Central, North and South Kitsap school district boundaries. Youth from private schools are welcome. The deadline is Feb. 7. The registration fee is $125. All team members also must be members of KYLA. The membership fee is $5.

Practices and games are at Seabeck Elementary School. Practices start Feb. 10 and are from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Games are Saturdays. These are “mixed” teams with both beginners and experienced players, so there will be ample opportunity to play and learn. This is the best way for players to learn lacrosse and be ready to play in high school.

Mouth guards and cleats are required. Some loaner gear is available. For registration forms, visit www.kitsaplacrosse.com.
