Bellarmine Prep’s Kaitlyn Pavlovich scored on a penalty kick in the 68th minute to lead the Lions to a 1-0 win against South Kitsap on Saturday in the semifinals of the Narrows League Tournament.

The Wolves (10-4-1) defeated Bellarmine Prep 1-0 on Sept. 30 — the Lions’ only loss of the season.

Bellarmine Prep (13-1-2) played Olympia on Tuesday for the tournament title. The Wolves played at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday against Stadium at Mount Tahoma High School for the league’s No. 3 seed in the West Central District Tournament.

Wolves volleyball splits at league tournament

Angel Sheldon had 18 kills and Stephanie Osterdahl added 15 more as South Kitsap’s volleyball team split a couple of matches Saturday in the Narrows League Tournament at Mount Tahoma High School.

The Wolves won the first match 16-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-20 against Wilson. They followed with a 27-25, 21-25, 25-21, 20-25, 12-15 loss against Central Kitsap.

Cortney Ecternach combined for 52 assists in the two matches, while Angela Romonsky added four aces and Sarah Voigt had 32 digs.

Mallorie Horch also had 14 kills.

South (8-9) advances to Friday’s West Central District Tournament at the Kitsap Pavilion in Silverdale.
