South Kitsap Boys Soccer | Spring Sports Preview

Head coach: Cory Vartanian

2018 record: 9-9-2 (7-7-2)

Key players: Eduardo De La Cruz, sr.; Jackson Kambich, sr.; George Robertson, sr.; Logan Anchick, jr.; Hunter Million, jr.; Brian Yand, sr.

Outlook: The Wolves were a pleasant surprise last season. After finishing fifth in the SPSL and qualifying for districts, South Kitsap ended getting through to the state tournament and hosting a first-round game. The team struggled to score goals at times and lost its leading scorer, Grant Larson, to graduation. But the defense and goalkeeping should remain solid and another trip to the district playoffs is certainly an attainable goal. They could go even farther if they can find consistent scoring.

Schedule: March 16, 2 p.m., Vashon Island | March 21, 7 p.m., Olympia | March 26, 7 p.m., Puyallup | April 6, 1 p.m., at Port Angeles | April 8, 7 p.m., Sumner | April 10, 7 p.m., Curtis | April 16, 7 p.m., Graham-Kapowsin | April 19, 7:30 p.m., at Emerald Ridge | April 23, 7:30 p.m., at Olympia | April 26, 7:30 p.m., at Puyallup | April 30, 7 p.m., Bellarmine | May 3, 7:30 p.m. at Rogers.
