Bremerton avenged an early season loss against Olympic with a 6-1 victory Thursday to create a tie atop the Olympic League standings. Both teams are now 5-1.

For Olympic, which could have moved two games ahead of the defending state champions with a win, Alma Levario rolled a 370, including 191 in the second game. Liza Ambrose knocked down 318 pins while Alaina Howell (293), Lacee Ness (283) and Audrey Deutsch (281) rounded out the Lady Trojans’ starting five.

Bremerton’s Ariel Wagg rolled the high game, a 214, while teammate Samantha Smith rolled 379 for the day’s top overall score. Bremerton knocked down 2,011 total pins to Olympic’s 1,899.

The Lady Trojans face Peninsula Tuesday and Klahowya Thursday.

Meanwhile, Klahowya (4-2) swept North Mason 7-0 Thursday to move into third place in the Olympic League.

Shannon Frey led KSS with 301 pins knocked down, nearly 100 more than North Mason’s top roller, Taya Vandevelde (209). Carys Bailey, who is the Olympic League’s second-leading bowler with 174 pins knocked down per game, bowled a high game of 204 against NM despite sitting out Game 1 to help the Lady Eagles to a 1,651 to 1,103 final pin advantage.

Klahowya travels to Sequim Tuesday before hosting Olympic at 2:45 p.m. Thursday.
