POULSBO — Rebekah Baugh quickly became a formidable foe on the basketball court in the Olympic League.

Baugh, a North Kitsap senior, averaged 16.7 points per game during the 2013-14 season. She averaged 3.2 steals, 4.9 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game as well, according to former varsity head coach Tim French.

She made the varsity team her freshman year.

Baugh plans to take those skills with her when she attends Saint Martin’s University. She signed her letter of intent with the Saint Martin’s Saints women’s basketball team Nov. 14.

The Saints finished their 2013-14 season 18-11. They were 11-3 at home, 6-5 on the road and 1-3 neutral. The Saints are coached by Tim Healy, Kaitlin McBride and Julia Olson.

The Saints compete in NCAA Division II. The Saints began the 2014-15 season with a 71-57 win Nov. 14.

The 2014-15 Vikings basketball season begins Dec. 2. The Vikings host Auburn in a non-conference game at 7 p.m.
