NK girls team qualifies for State | Cross country

The Viking runners scored second as a team during the Westside Classic (Districts) Nov. 2

POULSBO — The North Kitsap varsity girls will have the opportunity to conquer the 2A State Championships together.

The Viking runners scored second as a team during the Westside Classic (Districts) Nov. 2, earning a team berth to State. The State Championships are Nov. 9 at the Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.

North’s Kathleen Ramsey, Clara Lund, Katrina Weinmann, Sarah Zimmerman, Meg Baba, Maria Warns, and Marissa Pittman will compete. Kristina Reid and Lydia Sedy will attend the championships as alternate runners.

The Vikings (101) finished behind first place Lindbergh (61) at Districts. Ramsey earned the best time, finishing in 19 minutes 39.15 seconds.
