Central Kitsap picks up first league win of the season

SILVERDALE — Central Kitsap picked up its first league win of the season on April 10, beating North Thurston 12-9 in a close match at Linder Field.

Mya Hunsaker went 3 for 4 with a walk and drove in a pair of runs. She also scored three times. Faith Schenk had a 2 for 4 day with a home run and three RBI. Annika Freund was 1 for 2 with two walks and two runs scored.

The Cougars return to action Monday, heading off to Mason County for a league game against Shelton.
