Susan Kay Dollemore Klemm | Passages

May 27, 1958 - Jan. 26, 2017

Sue Klemm went home to heaven Thursday evening, Jan. 26, 2017. She was surrounded by the love and prayers of family and friends.

In a fitting fashion, her last days was spent in the hospital where she worked for the last 15 years, developing a strong and loving community. Sue gave the hospital everything she had and the hospital gave her even more in return. Susan had such a strong and positive presence everywhere she went. She never knew a stranger.

Born on May 27, 1958 in Clarkston to Dick and Sally Dollemore, she spent her spent childhood there with close family, making lifelong friends and happy memories. In 1976, she graduated from Clarkston High School and attended her 40-year class reunion this past summer.

Susan settled in the Belfair area, living there for the last 25 years. This is where she met and married her true love, Ron Klemm, on June 15, 2002. Together, they built a beautiful home (inside and outside) and life.

She spent her first 10 years working at Kitsap Transit, before going back to school and joining Harrison Medical Center. In addition, she volunteered many hours with the Eagles Club and her church. She was also an avid gardener and planner of outdoor projects — fortunately, Ron was good at completing outdoor projects. Her life was full. She was a Christian who walked in her faith.

Susan loved and is loved. Anyone who met Sue felt the impact of her infectious smile. In addition to Ron at the family home, Sue is survived by her parents, Dick and Sally, and two siblings — her brother Tom Dollemore, his wife Carole and their family; and her sister Nancy Deobald and her family. She is also survived by many close friends she met along the way and considered to be brothers and sisters.

Celebration of life is scheduled for 11 a.m. Feb. 4 at Belfair Community Church for Sue’s celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to Belfair Community Church earmarked “Sue Klemm Outreach — Beard’s Cove.” This program provides services for single moms, Guatemalan families and struggling families. Continuing the work she could not finish would be a great way to honor her. Belfair Community Church, 23300 Highway 3, Belfair, WA. 98528.

Cremation, with ashes to be scattered at numerous sites, will take place, one place being the north breakwall in Ludington.
