Marie Hoefener, 84

Marie Hoefener of Kingston died Sept. 1, 2005 in Seattle. She was 84.

She was born to Henry and Alma (Boettcher) Weber in Newell, Iowa on Jan. 4, 1921.

She married Paul Hoefener on April 5, 1952.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling and hiking and was a Master Gardener. She also attended Christ Memorial Church in Poulsbo.

Hoefener is survived by daughters Lyndell St. James of Oregon, Jerrine (Greg) Gabrio of Kingston and Corliss (Ausif) Mahmood of Connecticut; brother Emil (Evelyn) Weber of Wisconsin; sisters Nora Coaty of Wisconsin, Leona Alavara of California and Rozella Daughtery of California; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Hoefener.

Services were held Sept. 9 in Kingston.
